i felt understood, supported and validated

I felt incredibly alone trying to support my son through autistic burnout. Teachers, counselors, and even therapists often didn’t understand what our family was navigating.

Tanya truly understood. Her guidance, compassion, and support helped me feel validated, steadier, and more confident as we moved through this journey together. I no longer feel like I’m carrying this alone.

You might be here because…

  • Your child has been resting for a long time but still doesn’t seem to be improving

  • Burnout recovery feels confusing, fragile, slow, or inconsistent

  • School pressure, masking, or daily demands have become impossible to manage

  • You feel emotionally exhausted from carrying so much unseen responsibility

  • The advice you’ve been given doesn’t seem to fit your child

  • You keep second-guessing yourself and worrying you’re getting it wrong

  • You feel isolated, overwhelmed, or like nobody fully understands what your family is navigating

If that’s where you are, you are not alone.

From Burnout to Balance was created for exactly this season.

Why this community feels different

From Burnout to Balance is not another parenting program to “push through” or keep up with.

It’s a gentle, neuro-affirming support community for parents navigating autistic burnout recovery, masking, nervous system overwhelm, school stress, and the long, uncertain middle of recovery.

Many parents arrive here exhausted from trying to hold everything together.

They’ve read the books.
Tried the strategies.
Followed the advice.

But something still feels off.

Because burnout recovery rarely responds well to more pressure.

Real healing often begins when families feel safer, more understood, and less alone.

Inside this community, we focus on helping parents understand what’s happening beneath the surface so they can respond with more steadiness, clarity, and self-trust.

This is not about fixing your child.

It’s about reducing pressure, supporting nervous systems, rebuilding connection, and helping your family move through burnout recovery with more compassion and less fear.

Over time, many parents begin to notice:

  • Less panic and second-guessing

  • More confidence responding to burnout and dysregulation

  • Fewer daily power struggles

  • Greater understanding of masking, shutdown, and nervous system overwhelm

  • More steadiness in themselves as parents

  • The relief of finally being in a space where they feel understood

Not because everything suddenly becomes easy.

But because they are no longer carrying it alone.

Inside From Burnout to Balance, parents get support with:

  • Understanding autistic burnout, masking, shutdown, and nervous system overwhelm

  • Responding to meltdowns, emotional dysregulation, and recovery “wobbles”

  • Reducing pressure using low-demand, neuro-affirming parenting approaches

  • Navigating school stress, changing capacity, and burnout recovery

  • Supporting sensory needs, emotional safety, and regulation

  • Rebuilding trust in themselves as parents

  • Caring for their own nervous system and emotional wellbeing

  • Connecting with parents who genuinely understand

Everything inside the membership is designed to be flexible, low-demand, and supportive of real family life.

There is no pressure to keep up.
No expectation to do everything.
And no shame for needing rest, slowness, or space.

Mother playing with child

A community where you do not have to explain everything

Many parents of neurodivergent children spend years feeling misunderstood and constantly feeling as if they need to translate their child to the world.

Explaining burnout.
Explaining masking.
Explaining why traditional advice is not working.
Explaining why their family is struggling.

That constant explaining can become exhausting.

Inside From Burnout to Balance, parents often describe the relief of finally being in a space where people already understand the deeper layers of autistic burnout recovery.

Here, support does not come through pressure, judgment, or comparison.

It comes through being met with compassion, nervous-system-aware guidance, and practical support that respects both you and your child.

This is a space where parents can feel:

  • Less alone
  • More grounded
  • More understood
  • More confident navigating burnout recovery

You are welcome exactly as you are, whether you participate quietly in the background or engage deeply in community.

I'm really glad I've joined this community

Tanya’s guidance is compassionate, validating, and deeply reassuring. Even though she doesn’t know our exact situation, I often feel like she truly understands what our family is navigating.

This community has helped me feel safer in my parenting choices, less alone, and more confident moving forward.

I feel both comforted and gently guided, and that has been invaluable.

From Burnout to Balance Autistic Burnout Community for Parents

What our community says:

“The lack of local support has felt devastating. Most of what I know about my child has come from my own late-night research and random posts I come across online. Finding this group early on was such a gift. On really hard days—like stressful appointments when I know a meltdown is coming—I think about this group and feel less alone. Just knowing there are people who truly understand makes all the difference.”

Parent and Founding Member of From Burnout to Balance

“I didn’t realize how alone I felt until I came here. It’s not just about tools—it’s about finally feeling seen.”
Parent and Founding Member of From Burnout to Balance

“It’s so good to be able to talk to other parents who understand and I don’t have to explain things to”

Meet your coach

Hi, I’m Tanya Valentin, an AuDHD parent and neuro-affirming family coach.

My work is shaped by more than 25 years in education and adult learning, formal parent coaching training through the University of Melbourne’s Tuning Into Kids program, and lived experience raising autistic and PDA children through burnout recovery.

As a mum of three autistic teens and young adults, I know how isolating and overwhelming this journey can feel, especially when the usual advice doesn’t fit your child or your family.

From Burnout to Balance was created to give parents a place to slow down, feel understood, and find steadier ways forward, without having to walk this path alone.

Frequently asked questions

What if I’m already burnt out?
That’s exactly why From Burnout to Balance exists. Come exactly as you are. Everything inside this membership is designed to support you, even if you’re running on fumes.

Will this help my child directly?
Yes. When you’re supported, regulated, and connected, your child feels the difference. Parents with safer nervous systems are the strongest healing force in a child’s recovery.

I don’t have the capacity for live calls or group chats. Will I still get value from this membership?

Absolutely — yes.
From Burnout to Balance was intentionally designed with low-capacity parents in mind. Many of the parents who join are deep in burnout themselves, supporting a child in burnout, or navigating a season of life where energy, time, or emotional bandwidth is limited.

Here’s what that means for you:

You can participate at your own pace and in your own way

There is no expectation to show up live, be active in chats, or engage socially if you don’t have capacity. You are welcome exactly as you are — whether that means listening quietly in the background, dipping in and out when you can, or simply receiving support without interacting.

Do I have to show up live?
Not at all. Join live when it works for you. Every call is recorded, and you’ll also have access to:

  • A private podcast channel you can listen to anytime

  • An always-open Voxer chat group for connection and questions

  • Tools and resources you can return to at your own pace

This membership is designed for busy, tender lives — you can’t fall behind.

What if I try it and it’s not for me?
You can cancel anytime — no guilt, no pressure, no hard feelings. That’s part of being truly low demand.

What if my child hasn’t officially been diagnosed with autism?
A formal diagnosis isn’t required. If you suspect your child may be autistic, PDA, or otherwise neurodivergent — or if you know they’re struggling with burnout — this space is here for you.

Is this membership suitable for parents of PDA children?
Yes. From Burnout to Balance is designed for parents of autistic, PDA, ADHD, and otherwise neurodivergent children, teens, and young adults experiencing burnout.

I live in the UK (or outside NZ/AU/US) — will the live calls work for me?
We welcome members worldwide, and we know time zones can be tricky. That’s why we’ve built this membership to support you no matter where you live. You’ll get:

  • Prompt access to call recordings

  • A private podcast feed for listening on your schedule

  • A supportive Voxer chat group that works across time zones

  • Tools you can use anytime, in your own way

Many of our members tune in later and still feel deeply connected and supported. You won’t be left out.
