From Burnout To Balance: A Parent Support System for Navigating Burnout Together

Parenting a neurodivergent child or teen in burnout can feel overwhelming, isolating, exhausting and totally disorientating, especially when the usual advice of what you should be doing no longer helps.

From Burnout to Balance is a membership space for parents raising autistic, PDA, and neurodivergent children and teens in burnout.

The community is a supportive, low-demand space for parents who are walking the long, uncertain middle of burnout recovery, grief and identity shifts that this journey often brings.

This isn’t a program that promises quick fixes or clear timelines.
It’s a place to slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and be supported, practically and emotionally, while your child recovers and you find steadier ground as a parent.

Here, you’ll find:

  • A community of parents who understand the reality of burnout

  • Gentle, neuro-affirming guidance grounded in nervous system safety

  • Practical resources you can return to as your capacity allows

You’re not failing, and you’re not behind.
You’re responding to something complex with care.

Cancel anytime — no pressure, just support.

i felt understood, supported and validated

“The journey of a parent with a neurodivergent child can feel very lonely. I’ve felt let down by my son’s teachers and counselors, our pediatrician, and even our therapists, none of whom understand autistic burnout or our son. Other parents with neurotypical kids don’t understand either. I have so much gratitude for Tanya, who does understand and has been an amazing coach and resource, supporting me as I seek to help my son and our family heal.

Feeling understood and validated by Tanya has given me the strength I need to continue on this journey with confidence and guided by love and compassion.”

A Community To Hold You

This community is more than a place to gather information or advice, even though both are offered here.
Lived experience has shown me that knowledge alone isn’t enough. It becomes meaningful only when parents feel safe, supported, and resourced enough to bring it into their real lives. Nervous system safety is foundational to that, and it grows best in community.

Here, support doesn’t come with pressure or judgment.
It comes through being met where you are, deeply understood, and gently accompanied.

This is where you can feel:

  • Held instead of judged

  • Guided instead of guessing

  • Connected instead of alone

We meet you exactly where you are: in the mess, in the liminal space, in the goo of everything that is unravelling and who you are becoming. We walk alongside you as you slowly rebuild trust in yourself, steadiness in your body, and hope for what comes next.

Inside From Burnout to Balance, you’ll find:

  • Parents who understand the invisible weight you’re carrying

  • Nervous-system-aware guidance for practising low-demand, neuro-affirming parenting

  • A compassionate community that helps you stay grounded when doubt, fear, or judgment creep in

This is a place to land, and a place to return to while healing unfolds in its own time.

From Burnout to Balance

Why This Community Is Different

From Burnout to Balance isn’t another parenting course to complete or get through.

It’s a parent support system, designed with nervous systems in mind, and built for the reality of burnout recovery.

Parenting doesn’t feel hard because you’re failing.
It feels hard because your nervous system has been living in protection mode for a long time.

When you’re bracing for judgment, carrying invisible responsibility, and constantly second-guessing yourself, even the simplest decisions can feel heavy. Consistency can feel out of reach because your body is already doing so much work just to stay afloat.

In a community that truly understands this, something important begins to shift.

When you’re met without judgment, pressure, or comparison, your nervous system has space to soften.
From that place, self-trust can slowly return.

Parenting begins to feel steadier, not because everything changes, but because you are no longer carrying it alone.

Real healing doesn’t happen through advice or effort alone.
It happens through safety, relationship, and being held over time, together.

I'm really glad I've joined this community

“Tanya, you have created a lot of fantastic content: informative, well-structured and presented with compassion. It is very soothing to see so much good information that I can relate to, even though you don’t know our situation. I get exactly what I need from you. Some of the things you talk about confirm my own thoughts, and thus I feel much safer in my choices, and when I need to confront others who don’t understand this. But you also point out things that I see I should work with, and I’m really grateful for it. So I get both validation, comfort and guidance from you, and it’s truly invaluable

Parent and From Burnout to Balance Member from Norway

When you join From Burnout to Balance, you’re entering a support system shaped around how burnout recovery and healing actually happen,  slowly, relationally, and with care.

This community is grounded in:

  • Nervous system safety — because when parents feel supported, homes feel safer too.

  • Low-demand parenting — because compassion and flexibility open doors that pressure never could.

  • Repair and reconnection — because rupture is part of being human, and repair is where trust grows.

  • Grief as sacred — because loss and love are often intertwined, and both deserve space.

  • Community-centred support — because no parent is meant to walk this path alone.

  • Reparenting ourselves — because our own healing shapes how we show up with our children.

  • Practical, soul-deep resources — because understanding and care are needed in both the head and the heart.

This work isn’t about fixing your child or forcing change.
It’s about supporting your whole family to move through burnout with dignity, connection, and steadiness, in a way that can last.

You’re exhausted, unsure, and realising that the tools that once worked no longer fit this season.

You are navigating change, grief and the identity shift that this journey often brings.

You’re longing for permission to slow down, and for somewhere you can soften and be held as well.

You want guidance and steadiness, without being told you need to fix yourself to be enough.

Inside The Circle You’ll…

  • Learn how to lower demands in ways that protect safety and dignity, supporting your child’s nervous system without creating new pressure.

  • Develop a clearer understanding of burnout,  what it is, why it takes time, and how recovery is supported through gentle, practical shifts rather than force.

  • Explore rhythms and routines that work with your family’s capacity, rather than trying to maintain systems that no longer fit.

  • Move from constant reactivity toward greater steadiness, even when things are still hard and uncertain.

  • Reconnect with your own regulation and inner knowing, so you’re not parenting from depletion or fear.

  • Begin to sense a more hopeful way forward, not because everything is resolved, but because you’re supported, resourced, and no longer walking alone.

From Burnout to Balance

What Our Community Says:

“The lack of local support has felt devastating. Most of what I know about my child has come from my own late-night research and random posts I come across online. Finding this group early on was such a gift. On really hard days—like stressful appointments when I know a meltdown is coming—I think about this group and feel less alone. Just knowing there are people who truly understand makes all the difference.”

Parent and Founding Member of From Burnout to Balance

“I didn’t realize how alone I felt until I came here. It’s not just about tools—it’s about finally feeling seen.”
Parent and Founding Member of From Burnout to Balance

“It’s so good to be able to talk to other parents who understand and I don’t have to explain things to”

Meet Your Coach

Hi, I’m Tanya Valentin — an AuDHD parent and neuro-affirming family coach.

My work is informed by more than 25 years in education and adult learning, alongside formal parent-coaching training through the University of Melbourne’s Tuning Into Kids program. Just as importantly, it’s shaped by lived experience, raising autistic and PDA children, and walking through a long, complex burnout journey with my daughter.

That combination of professional grounding and lived understanding allows me to support parents with steadiness, compassion, and deep respect for how healing actually unfolds.

As a mum to three autistic teens and young adults, I know how isolating, exhausting, and uncertain this path can feel, especially when the advice around you doesn’t fit your family.

From Burnout to Balance grew from that knowing.
It exists so parents have a place to slow down, be understood, and stay connected to themselves while they support their children, without having to walk it alone.

Tanya Just Gets it!

“This is the hardest and loneliest parenting experience I have been through. I instantly felt at home with Tanya’s coaching and guidance. I felt so seen, understood and validated.  She just got it! I couldn’t have gotten through this and seen all the progress we are making with our son without her empathetic support and guidance.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I’m already burnt out?
That’s exactly why From Burnout to Balance exists. Come exactly as you are. Everything inside this membership is designed to support you, even if you’re running on fumes.

Will this help my child directly?
Yes. When you’re supported, regulated, and connected, your child feels the difference. Parents with safer nervous systems are the strongest healing force in a child’s recovery.

I don’t have the capacity for live calls or group chats. Will I still get value from this membership?

Absolutely — yes.
From Burnout to Balance was intentionally designed with low-capacity parents in mind. Many of the parents who join are deep in burnout themselves, supporting a child in burnout, or navigating a season of life where energy, time, or emotional bandwidth is limited.

Here’s what that means for you:

You can participate at your own pace and in your own way

There is no expectation to show up live, be active in chats, or engage socially if you don’t have capacity. You are welcome exactly as you are — whether that means listening quietly in the background, dipping in and out when you can, or simply receiving support without interacting.

Do I have to show up live?
Not at all. Join live when it works for you. Every call is recorded, and you’ll also have access to:

  • A private podcast channel you can listen to anytime

  • An always-open Voxer chat group for connection and questions

  • Tools and resources you can return to at your own pace

This membership is designed for busy, tender lives — you can’t fall behind.

What if I try it and it’s not for me?
You can cancel anytime — no guilt, no pressure, no hard feelings. That’s part of being truly low demand.

What if my child hasn’t officially been diagnosed with autism?
A formal diagnosis isn’t required. If you suspect your child may be autistic, PDA, or otherwise neurodivergent — or if you know they’re struggling with burnout — this space is here for you.

Is this membership suitable for parents of PDA children?
Yes. From Burnout to Balance is designed for parents of autistic, PDA, ADHD, and otherwise neurodivergent children, teens, and young adults experiencing burnout.

I live in the UK (or outside NZ/AU/US) — will the live calls work for me?
We welcome members worldwide, and we know time zones can be tricky. That’s why we’ve built this membership to support you no matter where you live. You’ll get:

  • Prompt access to call recordings

  • A private podcast feed for listening on your schedule

  • A supportive Voxer chat group that works across time zones

  • Tools you can use anytime, in your own way

Many of our members tune in later and still feel deeply connected and supported. You won’t be left out.

Inside From Burnout to Balance, we’re quietly building a culture of compassion, regulation, and trust, one parent, one family, one nervous system at a time.

If this feels like the kind of support you’ve been longing for, you’re warmly invited to join us.

You can begin with a 7-day free trial, a gentle way to explore the space, connect, and see how it feels for you.
